With heavy hearts we say goodbye to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Vicki Renee Knapp Holt, born November 26,1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clyde Jefferson Knapp and Olive Sellers Knapp, she passed away July 10, 2022. Vicki grew up with her older brother Jeff (Clyde Jefferson Jr.) in Salt Lake and Murray, Utah. She had a love of adventure and music; tubing down Little Cottonwood Creek in Murray, riding her horse, Prince, singing and learning to play the piano, organ, trumpet, trombone, and saxophone. Vicki graduated from Murray High in 1964, then attended the University of Utah where she was a member of the first graduating class of Physical Therapy (1971) and one of only two women in the program. She worked as a Physical Therapist for over 30 years. After graduation, Vicki married her sweetheart, Lamar Holt on December 25,1971 in Las Vegas NV, later sealed in the South Jordan LDS Temple. They were married for 50 years and had one daughter, Renee Holt Parry, and three grandchildren Ciarra, Kora, and Jacob. Lamar and Vicki made their home in many places over the years: Clearfield, UT, Ogden, UT, Las Vegas, NV, South Jordan, UT, and spent the last 25 years in Pahrump, NV. Vicki's passion for music continued throughout her life, especially when it came to singing. She was a part of many vocal groups over the years, including: University of Utah Chorale as a soloist (with whom she toured 11 European countries), American West Symphony and Chorus (with whom she toured Scandinavia), Utah Opera Company, and Murray City Chorale. She was devoted to her family and loved family history and genealogy, she shared stories of her incredible family with anyone who would listen. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She had a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ. We were fortunate to have her in our lives for as long as we did; she fought breast cancer, and open heart surgery to stay with her family as long as she could before her heart got too tired to go on. Vicki is well known for her beautiful singing voice, piano playing, infectious laughter, kind heart, sense of humor, and her love of trying new things. She will be desperately missed. She is survived by her husband Lamar Holt of Pahrump, NV, daughter Renee Parry (Jared) of Henderson, NV, grand children Ciarra Havon (Hayden) of Enoch, UT, Kora Parry of Salt Lake City, UT, and Jacob Parry of Enoch, UT. Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Jefferson Knapp and Olive Sellers Knapp, and her brother Jeff Knapp. Services will be held July 23, 2022 1:00 pm at the LDS chapel 921 E.
