“In Loving Memory of Rosemary Augusta Molette (June 6, 1935 – January 28, 2024)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosemary Augusta Molette, a cherished
member of the Pahrump community, who departed this world on January 28, 2024, surrounded
by her family. Born on June 6, 1935, in Quincy, Illinois, Rosemary’s journey led her from the
heartland to the scenic Central Coast of California in 1950.
During her courageous move to the Central Coast, she found a welcoming home with her
brother Virgil Willing and his wife Betty. A devoted sister, she took on the role of caregiver for
Virgil’s two small children while attending Arroyo Grande High School. Rosemary’s commitment
to family and her ability to balance the responsibilities of school and caregiving reflected her
strong character and determination.
It was during her time at Arroyo Grande High School that Rosemary’s path intersected with that
of her life partner, Frank Molette. Their love story began in 1953, and the bond they shared
blossomed into a beautiful union when they exchanged vows in May 1954. Together, Rosemary
and Frank embarked on a journey of love, companionship, and shared dreams.
Rosemary’s heart was as vast as the Central Coast’s breathtaking landscapes. Her nurturing
spirit continued to shine as she and Frank built a life together. As a devoted wife and mother,
Rosemary created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Her culinary talents, honed
since her early years, made family gatherings and holidays particularly special, leaving a lasting
impression on all who were fortunate enough to partake in her delicious creations.
Rosemary’s nimble fingers and creative spirit made her an avid seamstress, weaving threads of
love into every fabric she touched. Her artistic endeavors adorned her family and friends with
handmade treasures that will be cherished for generations to come. Through the stitches of her
craft, Rosemary left an enduring legacy of love and care.
Her commitment to community service was reflected in her active roles within the Pismo Moose
Lodge and the Oceano Elks Lodge. Rosemary held several offices and tirelessly contributed to
various fundraisers, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and philanthropy. Her dedication to
these organizations not only left an impact on the local community but also exemplified her
generous nature.
In April 2000, Rosemary and Frank embraced a new chapter of their lives as they made
Pahrump their home. Here, Rosemary discovered a love for the vibrant casino scene, where
she enjoyed the thrill of gaming and the camaraderie that came with it. Rosemary’s community
involvement extended to the Pahrump Moose Lodge, where she actively participated in various
activities and events. Her infectious laughter and bright spirit made her a beloved figure at the
gaming tables, creating lasting friendships with fellow enthusiasts.
As Rosemary Molette’s earthly journey comes to an end, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her 5
children, 13 grandchildren, and 16+ great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, John E
Molette, Rhonda L Tigue (Patrick Tigue), Rodney Molette, and Martin Molette. May her soul find
eternal peace, and may her family find comfort in the love and memories they shared. Pahrump
has lost a beloved resident, but the legacy of Rosemary’s joyous spirit will endure in the hearts
of those who had the privilege of knowing her.”
